August 2006 to July 2009 PEF Executive Board Constituencies for DEC

On Sept. 19, 2005, the DEC Convention Delegates approved the four (4) PEF Executive Board Constituencies for DEC to be as follows:

 

1.                    Eastern Regional Seat - DEC Regions 1 through 5;

2.                    Western Regional Seat - DEC Regions 6 through 9;

3.                    Central Office - DEC Divisions, etc. currently located on floors 1     through 4 of 625 Broadway:

 

               Hearings (HGR)

               Air (AIR)

               Public Affairs (PUB)

                                           Operations (OPS)

               Information Systems (ISD)

                                            Minerals (MIN)

                                            Water (WAT)  

                                            Environmental Permits (DEP)

               

4.                    Central Office - DEC Divisions, etc. currently located on floors 5 through 14 of 625 Broadway:

 

                                                Environmental Enforcement (DEE)

                                                Legal Affairs (DLA)

                                                Environmental Facilities Corporation (EFC)

                                                Environmental Remediation (ENR)

                                                Executive (EXE)

                   Legislative Affairs (LAW)

                                                Management & Budget (MBS)

                                                Office of General Council (OGC)

                                                Solid & Hazardous Materials (SHM)

                                                Fish & Wildlife (FWL)

                                                Lands & Forest (LAF)

 

Notes:   

 


 

A.                  PEF members working in satellite locations to the Central Office (e.g., Hemlock Street, SUNY-East, etc.) are considered Central Office employees.

 

B.                  The re-definition by DEC management as to what constitutes a DEC Region and/or Division shall not affect what constituency one is a member of.

 

C.                  The relocation by DEC management of an office or Division shall not affect what constituency one is a member of.

 

D.                  The creation by DEC management of a new office or Division shall not affect the constituency of those transferred by DEC management to it.

 

E.    New hires will be members of the appropriate constituency as defined above.
