PEF/encon needs your help answering the following: 1) What pressing environmental issues do you believe have been the most neglected by the DEC and why? 2) What agency programs suffer from the most under-funding? This year, our DEC budget was drastically cut from the previous year. Staffing was reduced by over 400. This is an alarming figure and has been the trend for way too long. In order to help ensure that DEC and other environmental agencies have the resources necessary to protect and preserve NY's natural resources, Environmental Groups have requested PEF/encon’s input on the above questions. Please contact any steward with pertinent information ( Confidentially will be assured for those desiring it) or Email us at SaveDEC@PEF/encon.
